Thank you. I love the picture of the cow because I think it's funky and colorful and feel it would add a touch of a modern look to a traditional house. I'm a little hesitant for the same reason you mentioned...and my husband is not crazy about it at all. I do like the street scene.

I really like them all! I think each one would look very nice in your space - the cow would bring more color in, but if your husband doesn't like it, either of the other 2 would look lovely. I'm drawn a bit more to the pear, prob because it's going in the kitchen....

I finally purchased bessie the cow. This piece is only offered in 36" or 56" Square. I purchased the 36" square and now we are wondering of its too large for our wall. Our wall is 41" wide. Is there a rule for proportion size when it comes to wall art? Thank you!

1/2 to 2/3 width of wall...your art is too wide. Should be no more than roughly 27".

What do you think? The picture is willing on a bar stool until we decide whether to keep it or not.

What is the name of your wall color? And it does need to be placed elsewhere because it is taking up more than 2/3 of the wall. If you place it where people are sitting, center should be 54" from the floor. If nothing is beneath it, the center should be 60" from the floor.

I agree that it is too wide for that space. You need something more thin and rectangular proportionally for that wall.

Its too wide for that space, but I'd definitely keep the cow and use her elsewhere if you can. I may be biased, but I love using quirky animal pieces in my decor. It's fun and makes me happy, and I don't give a hoot if others think it's weird or not formal/refined enough.

Like the art itself, placement is personal taste. The piece is technically "too wide" for that wall BUT if you like it there; if it works for your line of sight in your home; if it makes you smile, then break the rules

Nations Photo Lab online prints photos on maple wood different sizes, and it can be printed on just the front or also on the four sides. Pick out a favorite family pic and have it printed an appropriate size.

Thanks, loudon1--I found my cow at TJ Maxx! I fell in love with a similar cow that was far above my budget, so I went on the hunt and just happened to stumble upon this lil beauty.

If you like it, forget the 'rules' and hang it at eye level. If you don't like it there or get tired of it - it wasn't a big investment and you can use it somewhere else.

I agree hang it where it is resting now. I love the cow. You obviously do to, hang it where you will appreciate it. Rules are made to be broken, makes life more interesting. Enjoy
