We are getting ready to reshingle our 1800s colonial and are trying to decide between the Pro or the AR. We have settled on driftwood for the color.

Our house is currently white, although we may repaint it offwhite down the road. The front of the house is a historic colonial with a long addition off the rear. The addition has a very steeply pitched roof that is visible from throughout the yard. We are concerned the Pro shingles are a little more variagated/checkerboard for our taste -- but like the definition of the thicker shingle (more like the wood shingles the house would have once had).

Thoughts or advice? Do Landmark Pro shingles fade over time?
