Grey mold? If you can take the whole branch out, you could possibly save the rest of the plant.

Unfortunately there is another main branch that looks the same. I thought about cutting it off before I left but now pretty much the whole plants is trashed I think. I was hoping it was not some kind of canker.

I also think that it is Grey Mold. I have couple of problems like that . I blame it on cold and mostly cloudy , drizzly weather.

I spray both with copper fungicide and Chlorine (Clorox) solution to keep it at check. Normally this happens to me late in the season when it cools off and the rains increase. But we have had an unseasonably cool June extending into July.

That is such a shame! If any of the plant is still green and healthy-looking, you could take a cutting and root it.

It has a lot of nice tomatoes. :( I do have several plants though and most are doing really well so I probably won't replace it.

I have sprayed with Daconil since plant out. It has been mostly dry here. Actually when this started we were in a very hot, dry period but a couple of days ago we had 3 inches of rain. It is always very humid here though so I kept them sprayed.
