Beauty Berry question

This is their third year in the ground. Firs two they barely grew and had few berries and leaf production was anemic. This year they all flowered nicely and are forming a goodly number of berries and the leaves are looking much better. One of them has sent up a shoot from the base that is almost 2 feet taller than the rest of the bush. It's leaves are double the size of the others. It looks similar, but different enough to make me wonder. Are they grown on root stock? Is this a sucker I should cut out?
