I liked it. Sort of a minty taste too. My brother had a hedge of the plant here in California. He and my sister in law didn't like them.

Again,if your palate wants stone fruit or banana and the normal Supermarket fruit taste then Pineapple Guava might not be for you. They also are heavy fruiters. So expect pounds and pounds to rake up.

One last- you have to scoop those small fruits. Maybe why they are not more popular is because you can't just bite into them as I recall....

I'm not sure they're heavy fruiters in C FL, though. I'm in the Stuart area and I don't know anyone who has much success with them here.

ETA If you do have success, the flowers are also used in many recipes.
