Are you able to tear it down and re-build on the site??? You may save money in the long haul.

sueplatt, thank you for the tips, would you remove the arch connecting the fence?

SustainableDwellings, tear down the garage?? Or landscape?? If Garage , don't think that's in the budget atm(looks nice inside) ...were in the process of making offers on homes and this one is on our list..wanting help with issues I see

Thank you

- Tear out the driveway/parking area & replace with planting beds & grass
- Add windows in former garage
- Remove picket fence and redo landscaping
- Paint house a different color - it's too close to the color of the roof. Maybe an ivory with the same undertones as the roof.
- Add appropriately sized shutters painted a great accent color; royal or navy blue, crimson, even classic black
- Paint front door same color as shutters
(And in a world where money is no object, I'd change the roofline to a steeper pitch!)

Good luck!

I would identify bush and either tear out or prune back. I picture a cottage look for this home. I like the arch if worth saving. I suggested one way to landscape for this look. This should be considered part of your cost for this home. I would ask you to consider what you would get in return for your investment if you were to resale at a later date. Is the neighborhood worth the updating costs?

As for the adjoining room, a playroom or tv room for children, an office or craft room, a reading room. Suggest you wait to see after u move in.

Robin Gladstone sounds cute#lol,thank you
