Hello Houzz specialists! We are in the middle of a house remodel on the second level of our home. This has led to a few changes on the main level, such as painting and removing the dividing wall between the kitchen, dining room and living room (Orange wall in the picture) we will also probably replace the flooring. The new colour scheme for the walls and floor on this level will be a modern gray. Eventually we would like to remodel the kitchen as well, but right now we can only afford to paint the cabinets, not replace them or do anything with the countertop or backsplash. The problem is I have no idea what colour to go with for the cabinets. The granite is a mixture of white, gray and black. The backsplash is different shades of brownish tile. The cabinets are pale yellow. To me, the previous owners made a strange choice with the tile and granite going together, but I will have to wait to change that. I just want to get rid of the yellow cabinets and deal with the rest later. Any colour suggestions? Plain white?
