Option 1 is a better workspace. But I like the look of option 2.

Option 3 is forget wall ovens and get a double oven range.

Don't like the dead space in Option 2 or the proximity to sink (can someone use oven while someone else is doing dishes?). In addition to considering a traditional range as auntthelma suggests, what about putting the wall ovens off to the right of the sink? Past the dishwasher. That might be more balanced, you keep corner cabinets, gain counter space between sink and stovetop (where most work is typically done). Also will you have a microwave, and if so where? (Under counter in island maybe?)

Could also flip wall ovens and fridge in option 1 to have landing space next to fridge. But then you lose landing space next to oven. So neither is ideal.

Agree, option one looks heavy to the left. As a practical point, I prefer to have a countertop to the side of the refrigerator so that there is a surface on which to place items on their way to and from it. Double oven range is a great idea.

If there is room, maybe move the double oven cabinet over to the right of the DW? You could possibly move the DW to the left of the sink base if need be...This will allow for counter space for the fridge and double oven. It also will look more symmetrical! Good luck!

I like Susan and AG's idea - we will call it "Option 4." Move the ovens to the right end. It is much more balanced and allows counterspace for both the fridge and the ovens.

I like the idea of moving the ovens to the right of the dishwasher as well. If there is not enough room you might consider using a single bowl 25" X 22" sink vs the 33" X 22" size to make room.

Not clear on how exactly where the french doors will be or how that would interfere with putting wall oven on that side? Why would it be any different than having cabinetry there like you do now? The dead space and the closeness of the ovens to the sink (that is restricting the use of the space so that one cannot be washing dishes while one's spouse checks on the roast, for instance) would make option 2 a no-go for me.

Personally, in your space I'd put a 15-18" full-height cabinet to the left of the fridge and use a range instead of wall ovens -- they're just eating too much real estate. If you really want them, then option #1 is far superior, as you'll find the counter arrangement in #2 very frustrating -- hard to transfer things from sink to stove and back, a corner zone you basically can't use for anything, and imagine accessing the things stored way back in the corner in the base cabinet! The last couple of decades have spent a lot of creative energy on designing better solutions to terrible blind corners like that. Option #4 that is being discussed (ovens on far right) is my second choice.

Are you asking for comments on the whole house plan or only the kitchen layout? Obviously, there are constraints when remodeling an existing home. Good luck with your project.
