Thank you Rick. I bought some Azalea pots months ago and I love them. They are green and very very strong. These just look so cheap like you said. I guess I got what I paid for hehe. Lesson learned.

I use them, have no problems so far. They will do the job until your plants need to be repotted , and probably will last for one more use. I have half of my plants in semi-shade and some in 6 hrs of the full sun a day, didn't noticed any root damage so far. I got mine from 99c store very cheap but will try to find square sturdier pots for future use. I will look up azalea pots, let us know if and when you will find better pots Stephane because I'm having no luck so far. Happy growing! :)

Ok here is an odd question. Who named the pots and where do I look up types of pots like azalea pots ? I notice the naming of pots in other sizes too.

Stephane we have those thin ones here, and the more usual rigid ones too. They tend to be the type used by our DIY stores and retailers for trays of potted bedding plants etc, so maybe they have been 'passed on', not sure what the exact source was but its a possibility. If you don't need to use all of them immediately, use two together maybe, will give the pot more stability, just a thought ;-)

I will definitely give them a try with a few adeniums and see how they do. They were really cheap so I'm not too worried about the wasting them. I just don't want to hurt the plants. Though It looks like Elena has no problems with them so I might use them for the little ones.

Stephens I buy my pots from greenhouse mega store or A.M. Leonard. But Your pots will work for small plants but like Rick said may be a problem with gritty mix

I can honestly say I'd never heard of azalea pots before... ran a quick search on google and clearly it is something Dutch growers don't seem to need or it just hasn't caught on here yet.

These are the pots nurseries use because they are inexpensive ... ~.30 cents at garden centers and much cheaper from direct distributors. They are good interim pots and do the job.

I use them for small plants & for adeniums from 3-6 months and haven't had any problems. After that, they usually require larger 6" pots anyway because the roots begin to crawl out the drainage holes. Go ahead and use them.

I use those too for seedlings and cut small slits into them to help the soil dry out some. It gets very hot here in NC. I like to repot in terracotta pots.

Stephanie, I think the pots will be okay for the seedlings. Only 4 in, take less room in the winter.
