Absolutely a cool white.

I think the Arctic white in ultracraft is to stark white. I used melted Brie in boyfriends house, it's cool but not stark, not there at the moment but like it very much. I used beach white in my condo which is white but slightly warmer. I think the melted Brie would look great with your stone. We were going to use the same stone but it actually had a fissure/crack that went all the way through so didn't use it, so disappointed because it looked great with the melted Brie

Can you get your hands on a sample cabinet door in the two colors? Take the sample doors to visit the slabs.

On my monitor those two slabs look like they are the same rock. If you can take a cabinet door you're much better off you'll really see what pops and what doesn't. Yes you will probably feel slightly stupid doing it but you won't feel stupid later when your kitchen looks fabulous.

Their is such a thing as too stark, to me anyway. Would have to compare the two with the stone, in your house. Those warehouse lights are deceiving, plus I'd want a piece of the stone laying flat, for a better representation.

Yes..I always went everywhere with a door and a floor sample..very hard when the slab is vertical of course, reminded myself of a monkey in a circus)) so also always asked for a small sample of a stone to take home..to check in my lighting etc.

Also very true about warehouse lighting. Here though most of the slabs are stored outside (CA)..if stored inside you can ask them to take the slab outside so you can see it in a normal light. They'll do that for you.

But you already made it so much easier for yourself by picking your slab first. Much easier to pick a paint color for cabinets that go with a slab, than the other way around (like I had to).

It's hard to tell with the small samples. As long as Melted Brie does not have a yellow undertone, you could do either.

If I may suggest-put your colors vertically..as the future cabinets will be installed. Like, put them perpendicular to the slab. The colors look different when angle changes, it's important to know how it will look in advance.

I still vote for the cool color-theoretically speaking-but you don't get true representation until you turn it the way it will be in your kitchen. And of course we can see it even less, different monitor and all

I learned it the hard way-all my samples were magnificent when laying down horizontally ..the moment I put them vertically none would quite work..))

I think we are leaning towards the Artic White, which is the cooler white. Romy718 do you think this will look okay? I love your kitchen, so if mine comes out even half as nice, I will be pleased. :)

Aprilneverends I've already left the place. It was very hard to get the samples perpendicular. The slab was sandwiched between other slabs. My husband is running out of patience with me, which is understandable since we need to move in 3 weeks and we yet to have kitchens or baths in the new house. I keep agonizing over all of these details to the point I am afraid to make a decision in fear of it being a wrong one. I just need to pull the trigger and hope for the best.

I hear you..the slab yards are the worst, so exhausting. Well at least I don't work there, I'do crazy and deaf in a day

Cool color seems like less of a gamble..maybe others will suggest differently, having seen the paints and the stone in real life

I like the Arctic White much better with your slabs...I think the other one looks yellowish, not as good. Wishing you the best as you decide!

caligirl8i8, I'm making the same decision right now. What did you go with and what would you recommend?

Vrossb, I'm sorry I just saw your post now. We went with the artic white. The countertops have yet to be installed, so I do not have a picture of the completed look to share. Most people I've spoken to seem to think that was the right choice. I personally think I prefer the white cabinetry in general, so hoping it all comes together in the end. Good luck!

Caligirl818, are you happy with your choice and can you share pictures? I am facing this same dilemma between arctic white and melted brie. I am worried that the melted brie is too "cream" and the arctic white is too "stark"!

Caligirl8i8 that looks great! I ordered arctic white too. I liked the idea of the warm white, but not when I saw the sample in my kitchen space. Counters are honed calacatta vagli marble. Cabinet order finally placed today so no pics for a while :-)

Are your cabinets regular sheen or low sheen?
