Fabric. No art and no colors chosen for the walls yet. We have recessed lighting in the ceiling.

Since you mention the ceiling - a chandelier could be good place to mix/ transition between styles.... any thought?

I can see mirrored night stands with a little metal features and or dark gunmetal to match the color of the dresser(a smoked glass mirror)...it looks a "him" feature(the dresser)and the side mirrored tables will play along...and compromise plus add some sass even to a conservative space.

I would do something in a metal if possible rather than trying to match the wood tones. I am using a Pottery Barn set of metal nesting tables for my nightstand. The top table has a large drawer. Then I added a clear crystal lamp base with linen shade also from Pottery Barn to give the space a little "bling".

Susan, excellent choice on the dresser! It's a great addition to your bedroom. I agree with Rina, you're better off finding something that plays along with the dresser than matching the wood tones.

Actually, since it's been somewhat difficult finding the perfect night stand, it might be better having one custom-made to what you desire.

oooh, @leelee, great choice!! I also like the campaign style, but in a darker finish. again, I'd go with matching the hardware on the piece you have.

p.s. I also wouldn't go with any curves, it doesn't go with the lines of the piece you have...

I have a mirrored end table that I used as a nightstand. Drawers and space underneath with doors. Bought from Wayfair. Adds a little femininity and Hollywood glamour without beating you over the head. Visually seems to take less space.

here's a sketch of the custom nightstand I created yesterday. It's the middle ground between your drawer and the pottery barn nesting tables you liked.

The 4 ends of the nightstand would be metal and the color is an aged grey.

I usually provide 2 sketches to see what you like the best. This nightstand is similiar to the last sketch but the metal legs are in a different shape.

honestly, it's best to have a square nightstand next to your bed than a a round one as they tend to be small end tables to a sofa.

Curious to see which of the 2 you liked? These take about 3 days to build and finalize for shipping.

Gotcha! Not a problem. Yeah seeing it in a store and in person is ideal. Yet, if you can't find what you like, then an alternative option could be for you to have your nightstand custom-made however you'd like. I am sure there are many professionals who can make it happen locally where you live.

Your dresser reminds me of a steamer trunk. I would find a vintage suitcase,perhaps just use a suitcase stand. Set lamp etc on top

go to a real cabinet maker and have the drawer units you want made to fit your space. paint grade lumber is not expensive. find a style you like and provide your cabinet maker with your picture. It will cost between $300 to $600 if you keep it clean lined and box shaped.

I don't know how to post the picture from a website, but take a look at PB Bexley Nesting bedside tables. A little lower than the Woodrow. Metal and glass. Nice!

If you want to go really funky and add a little color some vintage suitcases piled on each other and screwed together so they dont move would be inexpensive and look great with that dresser!

I agree staying with a Campaign style. But make it more edgy by using a saturated color or high contrast, as in a lacquer finish, metal, or even mirror! The concept of the dresser seems to be organic, monochromatic, square and graphic. Your contrast piece needs to share most these qualities, but in a different manner. Such as a pop of color, contrast, or material. Then you'll know it will pop and compliment your scheme.

The last thing you want is a room designed by committee!

I would go onto Ebay or another site and look for small side tables. They might not have drawers, but you should be able to locate ones with bottom shelves to store items.
