Aspirin for mint rust. Has anyone done this?

I am 95% sure I have mint rust. I cut off all of the brown leaves and cleaned it up really well. I read I could use a 325 mg aspirin in 16 ounces of water to get rid of the fungus so I did that and sprayed the plant down. Now I'm wondering how often I need to spray and for how long. If anyone knoes please share! Thanks!!
