Reno for the new house

Hello everyone, we are planing to do the renovation before we move into the new house. I just want to get some idea from you 1. In the breakfast are, I want to put the breakfast bench around the windows then a round table, but will it look too empty there? Or it's better just put a regular dining set? 2. How should I put sofa / love seat /chairs in the living room?
Any suggestions? TIA
Btw, Anyone have an idea if I get a design company for a 3500ft2 house, how much will usually cost?

Just an aside. The kitchen design is poor. 1st rule of kitchen design is never to put the sink on the end of a countertop. Double bowl sinks are also the least efficient use of space. I'd get a kitchen designer to work with you on the kitchen as well as the breakfast area. A round table by the way won't work with benches as the curve of the table needs to match the bench otherwise the seating pulls too far away from the table. The table would be gigantic to match the curve of the wall. That kind of advice is what you need and a good kitchen designer is the person that will be able to give it to you.

Take the kitchen flooring only to the end of the cabinets. The rest of the space should have the same flooring as the great room.

The living room is really a wide hallway. Use that space for dining, and create sociable seating in the designated dining room.

If the great room is going to have the TV, change the half wall to a sound-insulated full wall. The study could be opened so that you have a generous two area living room.

I think you could do a nice built-in bench with the round table, but would suggest that you do a built-in desk or some pantry's on the opposite wall to extend the kitchen a little further towards the sliding door. This would still leave plenty of room to walk through to the back door, and would give you some additional cabinets.

Joyce, with respect to your last question, cost would depend on what work you would like done. Costs without sitting down to discuss the scope of the work are just numbers picked out of thin air.
