How is cleaning under the tub?

I had a clawfoot tub against a wall and it was so hard to clean under it. I also found it useless for soaking as the tub didn't hold heat in the water.

sorry for the delay in answering - yes, those are both common issues with clawfoot tubs. It is recommended to preheat cast iron tubs with hot kettle water - I believe it helps!

Cast iron tubs hold temperatures much like a thermos. When they are cold, it takes awhile to heat them up. But once they are warm, it takes a long time for them to cool down so they keep the water temperature warmer longer. Acrylic tubs don't have the same insulating effect. They are quick to get up to temp, and quick to come down.
