I've been taking a lot of photos recently so I'm sharing a few more...

Munstead Wood (Austin 2007): It's difficult to get the colour right on red roses. This one came out almost true to life but...

...Soul (Tantau 2014) is not quite as dark as this:

Barock (Tantau 1999)

Chetty (W Millington 2014). I have a very soft spot for the soft apricot colour and bloom form of this new little rose and it has very pleasant fruity fragrance too. A keeper, despite not having the best disease resistance and a tendency to proliferate.

Emilia Castelli (Novaspina 2014). I was about to ditch this one after only a year since it hasn't done well in my humid, cool climate (flowers balling and mildew prone) but we're having an unusual "heatwave" at the moment with temps up to 85 F/ 30 C (nothing like the heatwaves in the US but anyway) and suddenly it's doing much better and the flowers open fully.

If 'Munstead Wood' stayed that lovely deep red I'd nab it.

Love the form and color of 'Chetty'.

I notice at HMF you have 'Geneviève Orsi'. Do you know the hybridizer and year introduced? How is this rose doing in your garden? It looks beautiful. Thank you.

irisgal: 'Geneviève Orsi' belongs to the Guillot Generosa family of roses in France but is actually an American rose from Jackson & Perkins. It came out in 2009 I think. Maybe it's available in the US under a different name? My plant had a promising first season last year in a pot with good healthy growth and a decent amount of beautiful, fragrant flowers, but this year it has only produced 3-4 flowers in total and is sulking badly at the moment. Not sure why, but I think I may have overwatered it in the spring and the soil has become too wet and compact.

Great pic of MW! How I wish we had access to more Tantau roses here in the US. Soul looks very nice as do your others.

It goes without saying--I adore your Munstead Wood! One of my favorite roses!

Irisgal--do not worry about Munstead Wood fading and changing colors. Mine, at least, stay the same dark red (darker than the pic above) all the way to the end.

Barock is a very interesting rose--I like apricotish roses also.
