Subway tile with mosaic floor?

We're remodeling the whole house and I'm trying to stick to a modest budget. I'd like to use subway tile for the kitchen backsplash, and also in the tub/shower, then do matte mosaic tile (with the black hexagon accent tiles) as the bathroom flooring. Is that too much white? Will the texture contrasts be enough to draw the eye? If you see any examples of this, please send them my way!

You can't have too much white, so don't worry about that. Subway tile and mosaics are both classic choices. If the mosaic is matte then the subway tile should be as well. It may be hard to find matte subway tile. Can you go with a glossy finish on the floor tiles? Don't worry about slipping because there's so much grout that you'll have good grip there.
