Off topic: Corpse Flower about to bloom at NY Botanical Gardens

Does anyone know whether this is considered a succulent? It's huge and must stink 1,000 times worse than my Stapelia gigantea's hairy pink blooms. I can't imagine that this stench bomb was actually the official flower of Bronx NY until a few years ago ... because another one previously bloomed there! :-O
