Sounds like Rick and Dain are best to choose IMHO. Since it seems we want try something as a group. How do we feel about that?

From experience, Mr. KO always send 15 seeds although he advertise it as 10 seeds (cross pollination seeds).

I also like Mr. Ko's seeds because it seem to be thriving better than Rinoa's ( From Yang Ming). Maybe just me.

I think it would be prudent to pick multi petal parents.

But my opinion doesn't matter. I'm not sure I have the space in my apartment for more seedlings, especially when I have to overwinter them. I really want to participate, just not sure it's smart.

i am up for whatever the masses want. no prefs … not a pink though. haha. just thot it was time for another community bonding project.

Okay. I am no expert on hybridizing, but it seems the consensus is that we could or will end up w a single bloom from Multi petaled hybrids.

1) 46x51

2) 14x51

3) 10x51

But I will go with any of those three: I have no hybrid seeds/seedlings yet, so very excited anyway!

I'm easy and good with whatever the rest of you choose. I'm not a big fan of the dark reds but of those choices I like 46X51 best. I have nearly 400 seeds coming already though so .. I'm going to be busy.

10 14 and 46 x 51 are all very nice.

My favorite is Ko_ebay 10 x Ko_ebay51

My first choice would be 46x51, then 10x14

This is my first time growing adenium, and I've just recently joined garden web. I am happy to try any colour, but as much I can figure out. I like the 46x51 best. Would be grateful if a pic was posted when the decision is made.

Lets set a deadline to order, for me winter will start in 2 months, so wanna get started, the delivery will also take 10..15 days.. Any idea if Mr Ko has enough seeds of the choiice we are opting for?

When I contacted him, he had sent through an email w large quantities price which is quite good. I am going to send a note of and mention that we are doing this as a group to see if he would give the same price? He may not, as he would have to send to different address's.

I've been watching this thread and would also love to join in but I'm a bit scared because I have zero experience with seeds.

2 months ago I had zero experience as well. I planted a few seeds, and now I have over 400 seedlings! I have >95% germination success with Mr Ko's seeds (over half of all my seedlings are Mr Ko's).

I checked with Ko about the Ko_46x Ko_51 hybrid seeds and he sent me a note back. He has enough seeds. The seeds will be going to all different parts of the world, so a group buy does no work and honestly the only thing you save on is the shipping.

I think it is important that if we want to get these seeds while he has them, that we all place an order soon.

I do not think that we have heard back from everyone that originally where interested in doing this.

Not sure which is the best way to inform everyone on this?

Hi Rick, how about putting a deadline to order on the other thread for all persons who showed interest by listing their name, and also how to order for new persons like myself i.e. email address and name of seed. Once order is placed, either start a new thread or continue the other one where persons who actually ordered seeds could list their names and we can keep in touch and compare growing progress.

I went ahead and put in my order to Mr. KO. Aside from 46x51, I was tempted to order some other cross seeds on his list because of the free shipping of $50 or more on seeds.

Just a note from Ko's website..

If you want a prompt shipment, please do place the order before every Wednesdays am 10:30 (Taiwan), because that's the deadline for applying quarantine inspection. Otherwise, we can not catch the deadline for apply quarantine inspection, then we have to keep your order till next week and send it on next week. Hope you can understand.

Do you imagine those are reds with purple making them look darker? Could be real nice if we got a surprise purple in the mix without the red. Muhahaha! Ah, we'll help you, Dragonstone! Don't be afraid. It's not expensive.
