Nice rug, but for me, it is a tad too faded in color. I would also replace the coffee table with something round, either a round ottoman or a round coffee table.

A round table would take up more space than the rectangle table. If you use a larger rug, the sofa will be further from the fireplace and allow a round table to be used. I like the rug a lot, but I think the colors in the painting over the fireplace are a bit too bright. Maybe a different painting would be a nicer complement to the rug.

Gorgeous rug but the outer border does blend in with the floor a little too much (sorry). I would suggest purchasing a larger rug so that you have more room for your furniture. Without knowing the dimensions of the space you plan to put the rug, you need to add at least a couple of feet each direction when you purchase a new rug. Like this:

Why isn't your rug aligned/centered with the fireplace? IF it can't be centered with the fireplace then you probably need a much bigger rug. A small one just accentuates the "off balance" of everything. Plus, a rug with a border pattern or center medallion isn't a good idea if things like the coffee table aren't centered with it.

The picture on the mantel will not work with the rug. And yes, rug should be larger so the front feet can sit at least 6 or 8 inches on the rug. Is sofa centered with fireplace?

The rug is pretty and does not get lost. It looks a little small...is it the right size for the area?

I think the rig looks very nice with your floors. I'm no expert, and I know that the pros on this site like to cite their rules on how furniture should be placed on rugs, but my opinion is that beautiful rug needs to be exposed to view as much as possible. To get a larger rug and then stick a third of it under a couch just seems wrong. In fact, I'd consider getting a glass or acrylic coffee table to show off the rug even more.

I am big on having stronger accent pieces that POP with color, the faded rug doesn't do it for me... I would suggest a bolder rug with a stronger color to nightlight all the beautiful decor you have. Hope this helps!!

I love the rug! I think the subtle and soft colors work beautifully with your decor and floors. I do agree that a larger size would work better if available. I think you will be happier in the long run if you go up a size.

Rug nice, comer it. Coffee table closer to couch, if you sit on the couch you can't reach to set a glass down. Toe swivel chairs on front of the window. Then you can watch tv and turn to talk to people . Right now it is a line up and not a conversation group. Keep looking for a more muted picture.
