I'm making over my 12 year olds bedroom and would like some help with furniture arrangement.

The items we are keeping are the dresser, desk, chair, mirror, TV and nightstand. I'd like to purchase the IKEA Kallax unit pictured below and place it horizontally for her to store books, trophies etc. we're also purchasing a new double/full sized bed for her.

Any ideas on the best way to set things up to maximize storage, function and flow?
