We just had some high-end cabinets installed and found that the facing of the drawers were attached to the drawers with metal brackets and screws through the brackets. The brackets are visible when the door is opened. Is this sound construction consistent with high-end cabinets? On most cabinets the box seems to be screwed directly into the facing. It seems to us that besides being ugly when opened the bracket exposes the cabinet frame to damage upon closing, even with a soft close.
