BTW...They do mail order, but I WOULD NOT recommend that. They don't appear to be overly concerned with customers.

I can't believe you got there, Katrina! I found them online a few months back and ordered a few sans from them because the price was right. I have never, ever received such horrible plants in my life! Garbage, all mislabeled, all potted in some horrible mix, packed terribly, fell all over the box. It was awful.

I'm shocked that the photos you took were of such decent looking plants! What they sent me was shameful.

Too bad I didn't get there to warn before you ordered. It's a shameful state of affairs over there. There are thousands of cactus. I didn't roam the whole place since I was only looking for sans. It's like a puppy mill in plant form.

Katrina, it's good to see you got to Houston and snagged some sans. Not positive but with it's reddish petioles, I think the spoon could be sp. Sudwalla Caves. The other one does look like ballyi.

That place looks pretty bad alright, but if one had time to poke around, there might be some good finds in there for cheap. The fact that your spoon appears to be thriving in what literally looks like dirt from the yard attests to the hardiness of sans.

I'd like it to be Sudwalla Caves, I don't have that one! That would be great. And Ballyi is new to me also, so those are both winners.

Cactus King is definitely an eye sore but I'd go back. There is simply too much I didn't see. For all I know there are more Sans hanging around in another dark corner.

Those are sometimes the best finds!
