Yellowing leaves

Several of my ornamentals (I didn't plant a vegetable garden this year due to time constraint reasons) are showing severe yellowing in their leaves and I'm not sure what's lacking or going wrong.

Hydrangea macrophylla (Endless Summer)

Salvia Mystic Spires

Itea

Halesia tetraptera (Carolina silverbell)

Oxydendrum arboreum (sourwood)

Lindera benzoin (spicebush)

And just for fun, a blueberry showing no discolouration at all. Said blueberry is planted about two metres from the sourwood and not much further from the itea.

Everything showing discolouration has been planted between this spring (2016) and autumn 2012 (the silverbell and sourwood). The blueberry was planted spring 2014.

I've sent off for a soil test from the extension service, but it hasn't arrived yet. And it'll be two weeks or so after I send it back before I have my results.

I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC - zone 8B. The soil here is sandy in places and a sticky clay in others. Sometimes it's sandy on top and clayey after about a foot down. I have established azalias and gardenias growing very happily without any sign of problems.
