I bought a sugarloaf pineapple from Florida Hill Nursery 2.5 years ago. It fruited and it was not a sugarloaf. It was a yellow pineapple, probably a smooth cayenne. I emailed the company three times and no response. I do not recommend buy from this nursery.

I have several extremely rare and hard to find varieties. It's kind of scary because there's no way to know for sure that I actually have the same varieties I ordered. None of them have fruited yet, and even after they do finally set fruit, in many cases I still won't be absolutely sure because I have never had the opportunity to taste these rare varieties before. for example, what if they sent me an 'icecream' banana instead of 'pisang ceylon', would I be able to tell the difference? It's unsettling. just have to hope they sent me the right ones
