We are finally planning to replace the decrepit sliding doors in the front of our house and turn the current screened porch into a real room.

Because the opening is wide, I'm thinking a solid door with two full sidelights and then casement windows to replace the storm windows currently in place

i was thinking some decorative caned glass in the sidelights but will it look weird if it doesn't match the nearby windows? Should we be looking at a plainer glass instead?

also should we think about replacing the windows with double hung instead of casement ones?

Its such a big undertaking I don't want to make the wrong choice!
