I tracked it back to where I saw it and it's from a Fons and Porter mag.......they call it Ins and Outs.

They are pieced......scraps. :-) Per block: 3 strips are cut at 2 1/2"...... 3 strips are cut at 1 1/2".......the block ends up being 8 X 10 finished. Almost mindless sewing. :-)

What a great job. I was wondering the same about the smaller squares....pieced?

Definitely fast and easy and once you get the hang of it, can make the whole block like a leader/ender......and there you are! A block is done. What I did was to 'kit' the pieces to each block so I could remember what I wanted to put together. Normal people would have put on a border but I just cannot handle anything larger anymore. This is going to a dear friend who was recently diagnosed with the beginnings of dementia. She's a tiny thing so will be ok for her as a lap quilt.

There are 4 strips at 1 1/2".....I specifically counted them at 4 so my finger must have strayed. So sorry. As hard as I try, I'll never be perfect.........sigh.
