TV is not part of decor... they belong in the family room.

MJ, the prints would be an odd shape to capture something nautical, b/c they normally have "landscape" orientation. If you want aquatic themed objects, why not someting like crossed oars over TV, & something like image of ancient anchor on one side & mariner's map oriented "portrait" on other? Maybe some nautical pennants for accents.

I'm not committed to anything, I'm just trying to figure out how to make that area look better! Any and all suggestions would be so appreciated.

I hope you have light-filtering or light-blocking window treatments to protect your furniture and art during the sunny part of the day. I like what you have done so far with pattern and color. Your room has personality. If you put something tall on the left end of the console and cluster the smaller items at the right end, you will have a different balance of the whole wall. I would have fewer things on the shelves at the upper right.

Fantastic view! Tv looks a tad too high. Maybe just a wood panel behind the tv.

Try hiding wires if possible and adding tall abstract paintings on either side.

I think the tv would look better straight up rather than tilted on the wall. A few prints on one side maybe 3 one over the other. One large would not work because it would mimic tv. Can you put tv cords thru the wall, or get something to hide them?
You apartment is lovely.

Your room has enough visual interest (and that great view!) so what blue bobby suggested is spot on. Hide the chords and straighten the orientation so the TV sits flush.

I wouldn't put anything else on the walls. You already have the beautiful mirror on one side, and the shelves on the other. I would something long, low, and simple along the white wall cupboards, so it fills the space between them and the bottom of the tv, without becoming distracting. Your view should remain the focal point.
