I want to replace a 1960's Broan range hood with a stainless hood. I am considering a under cabinet hood like Frigidaire FHWC3640MS. However my hood is under cabinets on a peninsula so the back side shows as well. Looks like all under cabinet hoods today are designed to mount on a wall where you can't see the back. Any ideas how to make this installation look good? I'm thinking gluing a piece of veneer or stainless onto the back of the hood to cover up the holes, but I'm sure matching it will be impossible. I really don't want to expand this project and start taking out cabinets. Ideas much appreciated.
