Exactly what I had in mind but only issue I have with them is that they would defeat the purpose of the arch as a design element [not that they are the most properly executed arches :)]

I would call a company like Sunsetter Awnings, and see what they recommend. They may even have a way of making a curved awning to fit your arch.

If you don't use it when it is raining than just use indoor/outdoor furniture.

Screening the "window" openings in might cut down on the rain coming in a bit. But you could still see out of them and keep the arches looking like arches.

Is the rain coming in from the roof run off or is it coming in directly because the house points into the direction of the rain? Different design solutions might present for each. For example, if the rain is blowing directly in, you might consider sailcloth curtains on the inside of the arches that can be pulled back and hidden behind the liar of the arch.

Interiors International, Inc.: The porch isn't used when its raining mainly cus the rain will drive you away but I guess your suggestion is the simplest one though it would be nice to still have an opportunity to use it during the rain

You would have to have a frame made for the screen and actual screening of fiberglass or aluminum attached to it and have them placed into the openings.

My experience has been, screens will stop 80% of the rain from coming in. For some reason it does no slow down snow. Install the screens in the middle of the jamb, therefore water runs away from the interior
