What is the maximum weight it will hold on the top? I would want to add a cushion on one end and use it as extra seating, like a banquette.

I will have to check since it is not made as a seat but it is very durable. Should find out next week. Thanks

Hello,

So I learned from manufacturer that it is a solid piece and would support the weight of a person, but that it is not specifically made with this in mind and whenever you use a piece of furniture other than for what it is made then it voids the warranty. Thanks. Sincerely, Joe - Plushpod
