Bermuda/St Augustine mix

last modified: 10 years ago

We moved into a house that has a Bermuda/St Augustine mix. They are both nice grasses but do not look good together. We asked a lawn company and they recommended sod. We don't have the money for that.

What can I do to make my grass just one or the other? Work isn't the issue, but money is.

Someone told me Bermuda has a tendency to take over so I could just wait, but if anything this summer, the St Augustine area has expanded. (By a little bit.)

Any tips appreciated!

Edit: and by Bermuda/St Augustine mix, I mean there's a patch of St Augustine here, a patch of Bermuda there...not literally that the grasses have mixed together.
