I didn't realize 'Candice' is striped! Gorgeous.

Love your 'Paradise'. Mine showed red during its summer flush, but not the spring. I'm wondering if this rose needs heat to do that?

Oh I love Candice! I dont like too many stripey roses but she's the BOMB!!!

I think I will also get Paradise next spring. Your Love Song blossoms are amazing! I just got that one.

Irisgal, I think you are maybe right. Some of our rose experts here can confirm that. I remember Double Delight will have more pink with more sun. If I cut it early and bring it in then it's just cream with pink at the top edges.

Elvi, you are very sweet but in this case I can't take the credit for it. Love Song did all the work. Love Song is one of the perfect roses for my area and many other areas. I bought the bare root standard from Regan early this year and just followed the instruction to dig the hole and amend the soil in the hole with manure and Osmocote slow release fertilizer. The best instruction you can follow is from nanadoll. All of her roses are amazing:

I think I can "blame" SaraAnn for my decision to buy Love Song early this year. She's dangerous when she shows her gorgeous roses :)

Ann & Jasmine, I started out without any stripes and now I have a few stripes. I think you will like Candice. She is such a healthy rose in my garden. Helen

I agree with everyone!!! Your Love Song is perfection!! It looks wonderful as a standard!!

Your Paradise is much nicer than mine, and it looks like it blooms more for you than it does for me. Gorgeous and beyond!!! Absolutely fabulous!! Gaaaah!! Drool!!!
