Erika, I can ask if you'll have a cushion there? to get things started but idk about the best look. In one of my kitchens it was similar, and I placed blinds within windows [inside mounted] and a fluffy valance across the wall at top.... few would recommend that I think. Maybe you want 'dummy panels' at each side, and blackout shades inside each window.

Traditional but idea:

Shades inside mounted on the windows with panels hung floor to ceiling outside the bay. They can be full to draw closed or simply stationary panels.

No curtains, just soothing blue / and the greenery outside. :)

This way you could experiment with pillows even more.

Use a rod across the wall, with wide drapery panels on each end. It will frame the window beautifully. If you need privacy, add interior mount shades on each window.

Thank you for all the ideas! I am attaching a picture of another bay window I have to dress. This one is even more challenging because of the way the wall comes out on the sides. Now if I try to hang a rod on top where would it go? Flush against the ceiling? Wouldn't that make the drapes look weird?

I have done window treatments for years and have never come across a window like that! That window begs to be a window seat. It appears the sill is about eight inches deep already. That could be extended and the side wall could be extended to come out an equal distance. It could be used for a book shelf or display. Then the window could have a valance with shades for privacy.

I would ignore the weird architecture and hang the curtains on a rod in front of the angled windows and in the second window, on the wall that goes across in front of the window. Just live with a small gap.
