i got a long runner for in front of my french doors, and would have if it was a slider as well....it looks better going the full width. and it gives a place to step out of shoes or boots and not be in the path of travel.

Thanks so much. My slider is a standard size and I am actually changing it out to french door where both sides will open in. Just trying not to have to buy a new rug when that happens. So, do you think a 3x5?

the same with as your french doors would look the most finished, i think. try bed bath & beyond, thats where i got mine.
