I am redoing an old cottage and would like to combine black and white cabinets. I see it is very popular to use all white cabinets with black for the island but what about a rustic black on all bottoms and a white on all tops. Most with glass doors?

Any opinions ? I'm thinking it could look good! The kitchen will have wood floors , it is open to the living room. The rooms will be divided by an island which would be in the black and thinking white countertops
