Hi,

I have a 1906 1/2 duplex with a foyer that has no way to add lighting without basically redoing all of the drywall.
There is one socket in a very odd place.
Does this lamp just plug into the socket and hang from the ceiling?
Do you have to unplug it each time you want to turn it off or is there an on/off switch on the light?
