Need Help with Finishing Touches for Home Office

This is our home office that will be used primarily by my husband. He likes what I have put together so far (the printer won't be sitting on that white table, it's just there temporarily). I'll also be buying art for the open space above the desk...but that will come later. The goal for now is to find something for him to rest his feet on in front of the leather chair.

That's where I need your help. We have a cat that will use a fabric pouf as a scratching post so that's out of the question. I've narrowed it down to 2 leather poufs. Can you help me decide? Or if you have another fabulous idea for a pouf, I'm open to it. It just needs to be "male" friendly, and leather or something that my cat can't get her claws into.

I like the leather one - but not sure if it will clash with the brown chair - they seem to be different colors. Personally, I don't care for the bottom one. But, I wanted to say I love the sitting space under the windows! It's beautiful!

Pouff aside... I would be looking at some way to organize all the stuff that is going to be messing with your zen looking clean desk...because it his office is anything like my office, he will be doing stuff in there not relaxing with his feet up on the pouff. I organized my mom's office for her birthday present this year (with her consent) it looked like your office after someone had dumped a dump truck of random stuff in there... anyways, a combo of shelving, baskets & Martha Stewart office organizer products tamed that beast. Good luck with the project!

I also worry that the brown leather pouf pictured in option A won't match with the chair. What about a black pouf like this one?

I did a quick search on Houzz and found these pictured below. Any favorites that you think would look best? These could be scratching posts for my cat, but I can always keep the office door closed if I have to.

Oh how about black like someone above said or a dark tan color? Are you going to add a colorful rug?

I probably won't add a rug because the office chair needs to roll on the plastic mat.

I'm thinking a black pouf/cube might be the best way to go. If I get a dark brown, it may not match the color of the leather chair.

Why don't you do an ottoman instead of a pouf? Or an x-base stool...

I don't think poufs give enough support and they're usually too low.

I also would have reversed the desk so he has his back to the wall and can look out the window instead of facing the wall.
