You want to use warmer colors for decorating to lessen the warm tones of the floor. Cool tones will amplify the reds.

What am am asking is what can I do with the red oak flooring to tone down the red? Because of existing floor heights I have to use the oak in the kitchen and the open living room/dining room is fir. I am planning on redoing the fir at the same time the red oak is installed and want the colors of floor to at least coordinate. It's just what I am stuck with and need a solution. Thanks
