Shingle color for limestone rock house?

Roof being replaced due to hail damage. New shingle color was Owen Cornings "desert tan" in the 25 year shingles. Roofer did a horrible job (looonng story) and is re-doing job. And he's upgrading the shingle to Owens Corning Oakridge 35 year dimensional shingle.

Below are photos of my house with the desert tan shingle on it. I wasn't sure about the color though and am thinking of ordering the new shingles in Amber. Yay or nay?

I like the amber better than the existing color.

Amber is better, I'd use Driftwood.

Thank you everyone! I saw the Driftwood color but was concerned it was too gray. But, maybe not. Impeccable nest - do you happen to recall the color of the shingle in the second photo you posted?

Just reading this post.....we have a ranch house that has the same color of brick as your stone...I haven't took a pic of it yet it just got done this week......we chose OC Duration in Brownwood....we love it!! I was never a lover of brown shingles but with this color of brick it was hard to pick what would look best.....I would love to see a pic of your house and see what color did you go with?
