I don't know how you do it Beth. Emotionally draining it was for me. I don't remember doing any photography, Maybe that would have helped?!

I'll have your pictures to look forward to when I return. So glad you posted.

Those are lovely, Beth. I always love your lavenders and purples, and that picture of Blue Parfum is something else! I love the look of Montreal, one I don't recall seeing before, but it looks like a beautiful rose, love the color combo. They're all gorgeous!

    Thanks everyone!!

Irisgal it really does help to go take pics. Gives me something enjoyable to do away from all the stressful things I have to do. Like dealing with my niece who was going to live in my mom's house, but when my brother told her she had to pay rent she said "NO!" She doesn't have a job other than our craft shop which is basically tanking due to the economy. She has no income. So she said to go ahead and sell it. My sister is giving her her 1/3 of the sale, so she will have some money to live off of for awhile. But it's been a nightmarish 9yr roller coaster ride dealing with her both at the shop and over her care of my mom. She's either Bi-polar or Borderline Personality Disorder (or both) and won't do anything about it. I feel bad on one hand, but when she does and says the things she does... OMG! I'll be glad when it's all over and maybe I won't have to deal with her ever again. I seriously think my mom hung on so long due to... back in the recesses of her mind.. she knew what an ordeal this was going to be. I miss her very much, but she was not "Mom" for quite a few yrs. Now we can all get on with our lives.

Soon I can get back to the yard... deadheading is the first priority, well, watering is always first actually... But all those dead blooms and decaying stems ... Aaaaahhh!! I gotta get it done. And the weeds!! The blackberries... the overgrown grass....

Carol, of those roses you listed, I can't really pick a true favorite. They're all so cool!! Altho that TYRIUS is really coming into its own. Blooms blow fast, but in that early stage they're lovely!

Sara-Ann I got MONTREAL probably over 25yrs ago from a place in Canada called Martin & Kraus. I believe they have gone out of business long ago. I really should start some cuttings of that one. It's a monster bush. Grows way over 6ft tall and has such beautiful blooms! What's bad is it's in a raised bed below the chicken run and to get photos, it's not real easy!! I prune it way back every yr but it manages to come back with a vengeance!
