Need help with front entrance

I need help with finding a design/product to make the entrance to a rental property look nice where it is recessed at the front door without breaking the bank. I left my husband in charge of pavers, windows, new fence, and new front door and while I agreed to get rid of all the glass surrounding the front door, my husband gave me about 5 minutes to make a decision on the door because it was a great deal, a $1600.00 impact resistant door for $600.00 and now I hate it. It looks like the entrance to a commercial property. I have looked into Faux stacked stone panels and real stacked stone that comes in sheets but either will cost from $1500.00 - $2000.00 installed and with all the other upgrades the budget is getting tapped out. Any suggestions on a material we can install around the door to make the home look modern and more attractive and go with the pavers

Cedar siding and a larger cedar post to replace that pitiful thing in the front.

Some type of ledge stone would be nice there and I love the door. It's very appropriate for the home.

Krismays Thank you for your comment, I have been researching the ledger stone faux panels 24" x 48". My husband can install these and although it is not alot of square footage but the material is expensive . I am in the flooring business and can buy the actual ledger stone in 6" x 24" sheets at wholesale, but this would require some prep to support the weight and I would have to pay an installer so it is heavy on the labor end. We really like the idea of the faux panels but would need corner pieces for the 2" recess at the door and the corner pieces that go with the panels are huge 6" x 18" and are almost as expensive as the panels. Either way it may cost around $2000 and we are already up to $15,000+ on upgrades. They are not really upgrades but necessities as the property really needed fixing up. I want the look of the ledger stone but a cheaper alternative, like a knock off product LOL. I think I may have to just spend the money.

This house has a midcentury vibe from what I can see. Could you use lap siding on the wall around the door and paint it a different color? Something darker if you are leaving the door white?

Thanks again Krismays, I did not know what lap siding was until you suggested it. I looked it up on the internet and I looks like it will good solution for a cheaper alternative to the ledger stone, actually I think it will look very nice...especially since my husband just informed me we need to add gutters to the budget. It never ends. Now that you mention it I think you are correct about the midcentury vibe, By the way everyone seems to like the door so I think it is growing on me.

I thought cedar too, horizontal

. It is vertical in my image though. Ledgestone does not suit the house, in my opinion.

I approve of the door, why don't you like it?

Thank you groveraxle and emmarent, cedar it is...I love it. Also thanks groveraxle for the tip on the post. I didn't even think about the post. Unfortunately, I do not have a great eye for designing
