I resurrected this poor clematis from my Grandmother's house. God rest her soul, she loved her flowers and took care of them. Well, the new homeowners thought it was all weeds and want to rip out all of the flowers and just grow grass. Anyways, my mother and I dug up the clematis and I brought it to my house and gave it new life. It's had a lot of new growth and leaves, but no buds, until last week. The flowers bloomed yesterday and they are a different color and shape than the other. Is this possible? Or I have unknowingly transplanted two plants? I also am curious if anyone would know if I should be trimming this back in the fall?
