Advice about tomato stalks and flowers drying

I have planted a Cherokee Purple tomato plant in the beginning of summer. It is planted in a ~13" pot with soil, some compost (without manure) and worm castings. The pot stands on the ground in the yard.

The plant yielded 3 tomatoes in the beginning of the season, but ever since, flowers (with or without tiny fruits) dry after a while. Strangely, drying appears to start from the middle of the stalk.

Otherwise, the plant looks quite healthy (to my inexperienced eyes), and it has actually grown taller than me.

Any ideas about this problem will be appreciated.
