New kitchen light fixture!

I am searching for a new light fixture to go over my kitchen table. It's quite a large space (sort of a hearth room too) so I am looking for 6 or more lights. I am leaning towards something rectangular in shape to add some visual weight to the space. I should also add that I have been on a hunt for the right console table to go in this room and someday would like to add a couple of wall sconces as well. I'm open to mixing finishes although the school house pendants over the island are brushed nickel and they are staying. I am attaching a couple other views of the room as well as a few fixture options from my ideabook in the comments. Thank you for your suggestions!!

    Make sure if you choose the Astr? That you have enough chain to hang it low enough. Measure and order more chain if needed. They should have wire length too but just verify. It's these details that are important.

      Some other pics of the space...I do plan to hang the future fixture a little lower. My husband is very tall so this is a constant source of debate:)

      I looked at some but didn't see any that I like better than your first favorite (Hinkley Lighting). It would work in the space really well, IMHO.

      I think the 6 light square chandelier would look great in that space. I recently installed that same light above my kitchen table and love it! It is a great statement piece and provides excellent lighting!

      No higher hang than 34 inches from the table/ 64 inches from the FLOOR to the BOTTOM of the light fixture. Tell him he's not walking under it, the table is in his way. : )

      Any higher is really up in "outer space".........and ruins the look of the fixture in your space.

      Ha! Thanks, Jan! I will try your suggestion:). We are more than a foot apart in size so the struggle for us to gauge height for fixtures, art, mirrors, etc is real!

      I like 2 and 3. 1 and 4 look almost as long as the table.

      I think the Hinkley rectangle with zinc finish is perfect. Speaks to finish of school lights and suits table size well. Open structure provides interesting look from all angles.

      I could not find the Hinkley in a straight on shot so I had to install it cattywampus. Sorry. I'd like to see you simplify your mantel behind the light:

      Thank you so much for the suggestions, all! I am spending some time looking up some of the new lights you suggested. So is no one particularly fond of the Astrapia? It really caught my eye due to the 2 metal tones (including a silverish) as well as the interesting shape...

      I was able to catch the Hinkley Fulton on sale so I went for it! Many thanks for all of the wonderful suggestions! Still trying to find the right bulbs (who knew there were so many varieties of filament bulbs?) but my husband and I both love this new light! Next up, a larger framed picture for the mantel like groveraxle suggested...

      Cause your new light offers a pretty shape, merely a frame, I like how your stones' shapes 'show' so well. Your chair pads have me thinking a small chance this might work. And at least it has a plain background.

      I absolutely love the chairs...they are a grey weathered paint over a medium brown stain...unfortunately we noticed right away that the kids' chairs were getting scratched pretty easily:(. We usually take the covers off for parties, etc but leave them on for daily use. I suppose now that the chairs are 3 years old we could learn to be more accepting of imperfections:)

      Oh yeh, we have those [imperfections that irk] too! But ours are painted white. If yours are 2-toned, that might be better... I didn't mean that we have kids, but stuff still 'happens'..
