I'd also change the wall color. It's the stark off white that adds to the contrast, making the brown leather look/feel so dark. Also, do you have space to move the sofa out from the wall? Additionally a larger area rug that would extend past the ends of the sofa (and fit under it a few inches) would also soften the look!

Love your colour choices! Is that the new area rug in bottom picture? if that's the rug you are going with....really should be bigger. I would also centre the art (and mirror as well not sure?) to the sectional...looks off on both sizes

I think a simpler coffee table and end table - not as heavy would look nice - maybe glass/gold

To brighten (not lighten…unless you want to bleach the sectional) I suggest you change the wall color. Love the pillows.

I like the second photo but the rug needs to be much bigger. Maybe down the road get slighter coffee table as suggested.

I loved this one of a kind area rug ( in the third photo ) but it only came in this too small size. I did not keep it. Hence, I've been trying to find one similar. The 1st picture I've attached is what I'm considering. It does come in the correct size. Is it a keeper with the pillows?
