Incredible!

Wonderful. This was one of my first non Phal orchids. It was way before I understood even orchid basics. Poor thing did not have a chance between my inexperience and Ohio's winters.

This is a hybrid that goes back to northern tropical Australia. The weather here is similar with a colder winter. I provide protection from the cold. Sounds like a Bob Dylan line...The antelope type dendrobiums seem to have blooms most of the time...If you look closely you will see a pot in a basket that is in another basket. In the previous basket it started going out and horizontal. So the small basket is angled in the big basket to get more verticality. Might need to be done again in another 5 or 10 years...

How often are you giving it the molasses, Epsom salt, etc?

Every 2 weeks. In the winter every 2 weeks if the feed date is warm. Otherwise I wait for a warming trend, feed, then start the 2 week clock. On Nobile type dens and a few others I stop feeding the end of Sept. with modest water until first sign of blooms.

Beautiful! Love these plants but having problems with buds blasting. Not sure why.
