Looks very thirsty to me but I can only go by its looks. How do the roots look? Hopefully not rotting...

I haven't inspected the roots but it doesn't stay overly wet for long and it drains well, so I suspect they are ok. It may need to be transferred to a larger hanging basket possibly though.

PS maybe time to retire it and buy a new one next year. You can keep it over winter but seems like a lot of work to save a few bucks.

I actually haven't tried any new soil or fertilizers. Got any recommendations? I have a small green house that I'll prob try to overwinter it in.

Use a good potting mix and as for the fertilizer - buy the one on sale. Go easy on granular fertilizer if you go that route - slow release is the better option if you do go this way. Water soluble is another recommended way to go - weekly weakly the old timers say.

I have been using Miracle Gro potting mix for years now and am fairly happy with it. I was using Jungle Growth for years but then it disappeared for a few years so I switched to MG and been there ever since even though Jungle Growth is back at the stores. Some folks will get Pro-mix (I guess because it says Pro?), others will mix their own (been there, done that - what a giant PITA that is), but whatever you do, don't get the cheapest thing at the store as it is usually full of heavy "junk" and seem to never dry out.
