I would be interested in hearing from people who have used concrete/masonry stain products on exterior brick. Which specific products (brand, formula, etc) have you found to be most effective?

A bit of context: The brick that I plan to stain gets some exposure to sun/rain etc, but not a severe amount. I will be staining both the brick and the mortar. Since the stain will be applied to a brick wall of a house, I am looking for a product that will allow the brick to breathe and does not require a sealant to be applied. Thanks for any tips!
