I love the doors, but do they make them with a smooth texture instead of the wood grain look?

The embossed woodgrain texture on the steel helps hide any surface imperfections from an accidental dent or ding. You could go with a wood door with a smooth surface but that will require more upkeep and does not have the range of insulation options that steel doors offer.
