We just purchased a Craftsman style home. The majority of the downstairs is painted gold (a muted, goldenrod color). The family room was painted a robin's egg blue. While I like the blue, I don't like the blue/gold combo at all. I think it will be easier/cheaper to paint over the blue rather than the gold (because the blue is only in one room). I have no idea what color would compliment the gold. I want to stay true to the craftsman style while keeping things somewhat feminine. Any ideas? Thanks!
